GAME #4 Oregon @ WASHINGTON | 4:30 pacific | ABC

Mixed.

He's the best QB on the roster at the moment, but he's not reliable.

This. He has his moments, good and bad. Oregon doesn't have anyone better right now so we're rolling with him.

I'd have to think he's gone after that. Parents don't send their kids off to college for the coach to put their hands on them.
Even a military drill instructor wouldn't get away with that in bootcamp.
He also shoved the ref outta the way to get to his player.
He makes Bo Pelini look like a polite gentleman.

Eh, difference is his parents have 99% done way worse. It wasn’t some white suburb kid or inner city kid. Guarantee his mother thought he deserved more than Lake needs to be fired.

You guaranteeing the thoughts of a stranger's mother is pretty laughable.

Even if true, that's his parents.
Be a school teacher and put your hands on someone. Even a parent who spanks their kid would be calling for said teacher's head and would likely get it.

As I said, drill instructors in the military can't even do that stuff.

Right?

Lake may have opened UDub up to some liability there.

Lake has no right to use physical violence on his players.

Jumping in to separate a couple people is one thing.

He shoved a ref, punched the player in the facemask, then shoved the player in the back after he'd turned around to walk away.

He made contact toward the head or neck area (to coin the often overused ref descriptions), but hard to tell from that angle if he just grazed his face mask or actually made some kind of contact.

I mean if you are asking me, I'd fire him for just being a moron that looked to punt down 8 with little time left, or the myriad of other super stupid things he's done, more or less using this as an excuse.

Just not sure if the school could find some way of trying to weasel out of it, or at least wait for the winds of the fans/school/boosters.

He has made too many rookie mistakes not to do something about it. Could he be a good HC some day? Maybe, but he's years away from it at best.

And reportedly their position coaches are afraid to get after kids and hold them accountable in practice. They seem to fear the transfer portal more than losing. The culture there is not right. That comes from the top.

Is Cohen listening?

You know who would have been a fantastic interim coach? Kwiatkowski… too bad he got pushed aside for lake to climb the ladder. Hindsight and all.

Very anticlimactic. Not what we were after at all.

But at least it’s something, I guess.
Cohen didn't go all Pat Chun, but didn't go all Barbara Hedges either.

And there's lots of time left to fire more.

Whew, I thought UW was gonna fire Lake. New OC should buy him a few more years

Apparently the sideline investigation is “ongoing,” so still some hope.

Most likely assumptions on Softy's part? I mean no one confuses him with a reporter/journalist do they?

Fair, but I posted it on here before I dug into Twitter because I hate that shit. He heard something something but Jake Heaps evidently heard Lake was gone. But Jake Heaps also probably isn’t a fan of UW because they were the only school who didn’t beg him to transfer there.

All I know is they are still doing their 'investigation'. The usual sources are not saying anything other than that. The fans want his head, the school doesn't want to make any snap decisions, particularly with large contracts and the implications of not doing any type of discipline right. I mean it would have been easier if he had just refused to get vaccinated right?
