Georgia usually plays a good OOC schedule(not next year since the SEC made us cancel out H&H with Oklahoma), and there’s a h&h with OSU coming up.

OSU getting healthy will be big. Not sure JSN plays but Henderson and Williams should be healthy.

TBH, I’m not concerned about anyone’s running backs. I’m confident our rush D will hold up against anyone’s RB’s. My biggest concern with OSU is their receivers. This year’s secondary has been significantly better than last season’s, but they still get burned deep from time to time and this year’s defense doesn’t have the pass rush to cover for the secondary if they can’t hang.
I still think UGA is gonna win. I think our o-line is better than OSU’s d-line and I feel confident we can run the ball, and I’m not sure y’all have anyone that can cover our TE’s
My biggest concern is the game turns into a shootout, and that’s just something we don’t really have experience with.

I don't think either of those two guys will make a difference. If OSU is going to hang with Georgia -- they will need to throw the ball over and over. I don't think they will be able to run the ball on them at all.
If Ngjiba-Smith could come back -- now THAT would be a game changer for OSU. As it'd give them arguably the two best WR's in CFB to throw to.

Henderson is more of a threat catching the ball out of the backfield though. Than a dude who doesn't play RB lol

I admit that I didn't see much of USC this year. Don't think I sat through any of their games, just saw a few highlights. Was their defense anywhere near this bad all year? Their technique on 'tackling' was absolutely terrible. Nerves? Trying too hard? Injuries leading to young kids playing? Are there any reasons why it broke down THAT bad?When we implode... we REALLY implode!! We DON'T mess around!

Utah decided to show the PAC 12 how to tackle and play real defense after the 1st quarter.
I think they relaxed after the first quarter. Caleb was in Heisman form and they thought it was going to be easy. Then they got caught with a right cross. Dazed and confused the rest of the game and couldn't recover.

At some point though, routine practice on basic technique still takes over. It wasn't that they were out of position, they simply couldn't tackle. No wrapping up, no going mid/low on bigger targets, bad angles on pursuit, etc.
I could accept panic if it was just not being where they should have been, but not for THAT breakdown of fundamentals.
It was one of the worst defenses I've seen all year, in a conference that has to have the worst overall defense as it is. It was amazingly bad.

Hilarious that the same people who had no problems with the SEC constantly backing in their NC games/Playoffs all of a sudden have a problem with it when another conference is benefitting.

USC was fresh in the 1st Q. Utah started controlling both trenches in the 2nd Q.
When your LB's and DB's are tasked with making more tackles than the DL, then you're in trouble. Especially when the RB is at full speed when he hits the 2nd level.
The "pass defense" has been REALLY bad all season. The "run defense" has been a bit better, but not by that much. Especially last night. It was probably the WORST I'd ever seen a SC defense play. Of course, it was in a game that ACTUALLY mattered.
SC has generally had "bad" DCs since the Pete Carroll era. Riley's present DC is NO exception. The Sooners dealt with the same exact thing, so... I hope that will be changed next year, but who knows?
Bottom line... Utah just played SOLID football after the first quarter and SC got out-played the rest of the game. I suppose I could whine about Williams not being at full speed when it looked liked he was injured. The o-line was pretty sloppy also. But this game's loss mainly centers on the "D" this time around, IMO.
I think USC probably got a bit "cocky" out there and looked FUGLY on the field!!
