40 car pileup in PA

I think they typically say to remain in your car, but given the number of secondary crashes, I’d lean toward get out and run like hell.
Yeah, getting up the side of that hill would’ve made sense.

Tragic. Begs the question for what you’re supposed to do if that happens. Get out of the car and run, hoping you can dodge cars? Stay in your car and take more hits?
Take the nearest exit until the snow squall passes so you’re not on the highway.

Seeing higballin' semis coming at you would make me head for the roadside.

In a mass accident I vote to GTFO and move away or to higher ground.

I don't get why they'd keep at such high speeds in those low visibility and snowy conditions.
This happens when visibility isn't too bad and then suddenly goes to shit.

It begs the question for why the hell you're out driving in one inch of snow with a bunch of retards from Pennsylvania?

I hope everyone is OK, but that is some next level stupidity in those pictures

No one ever thinks it will happen to them. We all have done some dumb shit and survived.

I would be out on that road… but not driving that fast.

i hate to admit it but I’d be out there too. I’ve driven in a handful of hairy situations and even though others in the car suggested we stop and pull over I kept going. It wasn’t a macho thing. It was a stubbornness thing. I just figured I could handle it and didn’t want to “waste time”. Luckily it worked out but that video looked brutal!

Those 18 wheelers think because they have more traction in bad weather they can barrel through. Until it’s too fucking late.

I think you missed the point.

When I was in college we used to train in Florida over winter break. I remember driving back to school and we hit a snow/ice storm in PA. I remember coming up on a traffic jam and hitting the brakes. It felt like we slid on ice for nearly 1/2 mile before stopping. It was freaky.
