500 Thursday

Today is flying by. Return of snow is a bummer. Slightly more than a dusting, but 2 to 4 inches possibly tonight. Kinda depressing after being near 60 to begin the week.
60 degrees in February is what's depressing, ya mook!

Deftones? Sweet! I didn't know this summer was 1998!

I saw Modest Mouse a few years back and had 2nd row seats. Loudest fucking concert I've ever been to. The concert was good, but it was uncomfortably loud.
no kidding, I didn't know deftones was a thing

talk about travesty, there hasn't been an orange 9mm concert since 1999 according to htis

That’s insane. I saw them several years ago. Must have been 2008 because it was the first concert they did after LeRoi Moore died. It was a pretty decent show, but I wouldn’t spend a ton of money to see them again.
I don't think I'd spend $600 for Mrs Redfoot and I to see any act, let alone $1,600.

I feel like a curmudgeon saying this, but I have ticket stubs from back in the day and I saw Steve Miller Band at that venue for $5. Lawn seats, but still.

I used to get into the first ten rows for any band for less than $100.

My wife paid more than that for us to see Slash and Myles Kennedy, but she really loves Slash and they were very good seats. Generally, I’m with you on this.

I get it. That's why I said "I don't think I'd spend" instead of "I'd never." If there was an act that I really wanted to see, it's possible, but I just can't think of any act that means that much to me.

Dave Matthews Band is having a ticket presale for CitiCard holders.

Blossom Music Center is an outdoor amphitheater with a pavilion that seats 5,700 and another 13,500 in the lawn. See the pic below.

I checked prices and they're selling seats in the last row of the pavilion for $214ea. Seats in the three front sections are selling for $760ea.

It's just fucking insane. I can't imagine spending $1,600 to take Mrs Redfoot to see DMB. Dave himself would have to come into the crowd and give me a handy for that kind of money AND he better have soft hands, too!

I've seen Dave Matthews and always considered that band The Grateful Dead Lite.

I don't see the comparison. I think Mattews is 10X better. A lot more bluesie and inclusive to more people. But the dead were awesome so no argument from me because of your comparison.

I mean, the "When We Were Young" festival is up to what, 3 days now? That is a show that 21-year-old Guy would have sold a testicle to go see.

I like White Pony. My Own Summer is good, too. Haven't really kept up with them lately, though.

You might want to listen to some of their newer stuff before going. It’s quite different from their old stuff, though it’s closer to White Pony than it is to Adrenaline or Around the Fur.

I've seen hundreds of your posts and understand that you are significantly mentally impared.

I was once a bodyguard for Slash during a Midwest tour. Nothing happened but he gave us all a bunch of weed and free drinks.

You just don't understand how intellectually superior I am compared to you.
