I don't see the comparison. I think Mattews is 10X better. A lot more bluesie and inclusive to more people. But the dead were awesome so no argument from me because of your comparison.

I probably will listen, but I'm not going to particularly care. My biggest expense for the night will be parking, possibly dinner.

The Summer Stage is an outdoor venue. The boardwalk is across the street. There is a playground right at the start of the beach. We go there on nights when we might want to hear who's playing. Gives the kids a bit of exposure to live music, without the expense.

Sounds cool. We have a similar outdoor concert arena called Pine Knob. It’s a big ski hill, too. It’s cheap to get lawn seats, just walk around. But the music is so loud you can hear it from miles. Used to just park my truck in on a hill outside of the venue and just chill.

I'd agree with that, but I'd say that Phish isn't steeped in bluegrass as much as GD is, and I don't think GD has as much jazz influence as Phish does.

Similar though, for sure.
