PSU's ceiling is higher than MSU's ceiling will ever be. PSU is going to outrecruit MSU almost every year.

When MSU was at their peak under Dantonio -- the stars on their team 0 star, 2 star, 3 star guys who made enormous jumps in college. That just isn't a sustainable way to do things in CFB. It will give you a nice stretch, but when you face elite talent, it will come crashing down. Like MSU when they faced Bama in the CFP in the game they dubbed the "5 stars vs the 3 stars" and they were drubbed by 30+ points.

I also remember the George Perles years. Typically 10-2 or 9-3 and that was the high-water mark
