It is definitely early in the season and no doubt we don't know how good teams really are yet. And it will definitely count for something if some of those opponents turn in good seasons. To a certain extent, teams seem to be more dependent on how well their opponents do throughout the season. Definitely so for your Irish since they also have to rely on who they draw out of the ACC each season.
I'm still not convinced the committee will reward SOS to the extent they've claimed. I really hope they do so it will incentivize better OOC scheduling. Some of those OOC games yesterday were really pathetic.
