OK. Being serious now. Does this first half of football say more about Duke or more about Clemson?

He clearly hit the jackpot with QBs, and I think his culture shtick would have continued to work but for NIL and the portal, two things that are the opposite of his schtick. He also had 2 coordinators for about 7 or 8 years, something very rare these days. The next few years will be interesting when you see a team like FSU rebuild in a single year or two at most.

I would have to say more about Clemson. There are some flashes but no consistency. Clearly working off the rust

I’m with you there with the coordinators. When you have a staff that stays for almost a decade? You can build. But I think those days are over

Little of both imo.

I think Duke with Elko and Leonard were not a fluke last year, not GREAT mind you but not a fluke/solid and will be again.
Clemson is not what they used to be and prob wont be until Dabo embraces the portal and NIL 100%. Still very good with a lot of talent but they are not on the "elite" level anymore.

I wouldn't call UGA not being able to scout QB in their own state "hitting the jackpot"

Those kinds of questions are what drives me crazy about early season rankings. They are built way too much on reputations, recruiting perception, recent success, etc. It is silly to rank that soon. It is even dumber to do it in this era of the transfer portal. That Colorado team was not the one that went 1-11 last year. And that wasn't the same TCU team either.
