The #9 Oregon Ducks return home to take on the washington state cougars at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday at 3:30 pm EST on ABC. The Ducks are coming off a last second loss on the road to the then #7 washington huskies. Oregon fell only one spot in the polls to show how close of a road game that was and how well Oregon played.

This will be the last meeting between Oregon and washington state for at least he foreseeable future. Good bye washington state! As a good good bye gift Oregon is going to hand you a blowout loss. Historically Oregon and washington state have had some close battles, but not this year. Oregon is leaps and bounds better than the cougs and Oregon is going to flex their B1G abilities while washington state continues to drown in the pac-2.

I get it, many will say that is a little too mean to say to a team that is basically conference poor next year and without a home, but don't fall for the feel sorry for washington state crap. This podunk university is part of the reason the Pac-12 couldn't get a better TV deal. Check the Cougars records from 2004-2014, especially the 2008-2012 stretch.

You guys didnt' take football seriously until Leach showed up and decided to do his magic. Now you are paying for it. Boo hoo, I won't shed a tear. Should've stepped your game up decades ago and taken football seriously like Oregon has. We were once little 'Ol Oregon, now look at us. We invested in the university, the athletics and football and look at us now. Going to the B1G while you're floating aimlessly in an ocean of mid-majors.

Good luck to you in the future. Your Pullman High School coach can not pull off the miracle tomorrow and Oregon is going to be PISSED from their loss last week, yet still greatly positioned to bounce back into the top 4 and be in the College Football Playoffs.

Good riddance Washington State. You go around wanting people to feel sorry for you, when you were part of the problem all along. Oregon shows why you're nothing more than a mid-major program tomorrow.

OREGON - 59
washington state Agricultural College - 17

Hey I get it, that loss last week was tough. But no need to go and slap Wash St around like that. Don’t make me root for the Cougs.

Oh don't fall for that poor wazzu crap. Again, they were and are part of the problem as to why the PAC didn't get a great offer. PAC was top heavy for so many years and their bottom was atrocious, check wazzu's history for that. They also don't bring any market to anything.

My guess is back when they joined the PAC it was some sort of charity agreement with washington. The cougs never had a reason to be a P5 program. They should've taken shit seriously 20 years ago.

Um, well before Leach was Mike Price. He had them rolling for a minute before Bama lured him away. Ended up spending school money on hookers and lost his gig before ever coaching a game there.

Bama fans owe quite a bit of thanks for that. Saban came onboard right after. And the rest is history.

It's funny hearing a duck shit all over a historically meh football school since they themselves were one for at least 100 years.

Yup. First off, OD mentions when other posters bring up previous seasons and remarks about it being ancient history. Now, he’s over here not only going back to near the beginning of the 2000’s and henpecking the bad stretches. Ya see how he skipped 2015-2018 for the Cougs.

Because I am referring to the crap that was wazzu football as part of the historical problem of why the PAC didn't get a good offer on a media deal. Had Wazzu been even remotely close to what they have been since 2015, things may have ended up differently, but the fact of the matter is there were YEARS of stretches where Wazzu could've lost to the best high school team in Seattle and they didn't care, they didn't seem to show urgency to change it, they just accepted their cellar status.

Well, that content of being shit for over a decade finally cost them. This is a wazzu problem, not the rest of the PAC problem.

After all the crying about people tagging you and everyone giving you shit, you learned nothing

Well, I will say this. If you think this conference, the PAC 12, folded because of one damn team, then you and this conference needs/needed to rethink their model.

Washington state was part of the problem. I'll also blame Oregon State, both Arizona schools, Cal and Colorado, hell i'll also blame Washington because they sucked for the better part of the last 10 years.

As I think about it, Oregon kept this conference afloat for the last 15 years, thanks to USC's sanctions. Give credit to Stanford as they had a chunk of success during that time and Utah tried hard to become a power, it just took them longer than people expected.

Oregon
USC
Utah
Stanford

Those were the teams/programs dedicated to staying competitive in football for most of the time. USC really by brand recognition only.

Hey dumbass, UW is 4-3 vs Oregon the last 8 years.

The reason they couldn't get a top shelf deal had nothing to do with any of your nonsense.

First, the top networks for college ball had their mega deals with the B1G and SEC. You were never going to draw from that top tier.

Second, the malpractice of the last two conference commissioners was criminal.

Last, most of the conference presidents do not put nearly enough care into football. It wasn't high enough priority.

You literally know nothing about college football.

At all.

But you see the problem there. You are picking 10 years here, 15 years there. You said you will also blame Washington. Which team, Oregon or Washington, made it to the CFP more recently? And once again, if you think one team (Oregon) kept an entire conference afloat, then the PAC 12 sucked anyway. And if Oregon is so damn great, and Oregon is the team that kept the entire conference afloat for 15 years, then do we also fault Oregon for the PAC 12 not staying afloat?

Heck, Arizona is 3-5 against Oregon the last 8 times they've played.

Oregon is one of the top watched teams this season on the networks. The B1G is getting a massive increase of viewership from the Ducks.

Washington for its location, it's history from 30 years ago, is one of the bigger disappointments due to their lack of success. Much like the Arizona schools, Washington should be a staple amongst the best athletic departments in the country. They failed. They just recently woke up and decided to invest. They should've been doing this since 2000.

Washington and Colorado were the reason those two games were highly rated. Oregon just happened to be there.
