A Braves fan has just called Kirk Gibson a pussy

Nah, I’m not missing the point. A fan of a team that hasn’t won anything since the Truman administration is criticizing a team that won a WS in the 95 and again in 2021

Jim Thome, Manny Ramirez, Albert Belle, Roberto Alomar, Omar Vizquel, Kenny Lofton all in the lineup and couldn’t manage a single WS title
You are deflecting...poorly I might add

You are missing the point. The Braves had perhaps the greatest rotation in modern history with Glavine, Smoltz, and Maddux.

The Indians had retreads like Hersheiser, Nagy, Ogea, Brian Anderson, and Bartolo Colon

they still led the AL in ERA in 95 and 96. And Nagy and Colon came up in the 90's with the Indians (and they were good), they don't exactly fit the bill of being retreads.

Besides, a team with a middle of the road ERA can win a World Series. 2013 Red Sox did it with Dempster, Doubront and Peavy.

STFU

Spartans fans will remember him taking a lot of hits coming across the middle :noidea:
All I know is if Ricky Rudd can tape his eyes open because they’re swelled shut following a brutal crash just so he can race the Daytona 500, these pussies can play an entire WS with a sore leg

He was no joke on the football field too, not just a two sport gimmick.

Also, I know this is all kinda tongue-in-cheek but you're sorta ripping on the courage and determination of a guy who is currently fighting Parkinson's disease. I think he's brave enough for me  :noidea:

A diva receiver role might have been a better fit for him.

I hate he has Parkinson’s, but also hate that I didn’t know that. Would have been a good one for the 2023 dead pool

Who was the guy that you guys had that used to do Orioles games? He was good, too.

Miller, I believe.
I loved John Miller and Joe Morgan on Sunday Night Baseball in the 90’s and early 00’s

Spending some time surfing my Baseball Almanac today. Came across this gem. Kirk Gibson had more career stolen bases than home runs.
