A day may come when the courage of men fails, but it is not this day

Here is everything that was said by the Rivals guy:

Some big news I was able to get just now from a handful of sources.

Was able to confirm that Tony Petitti issuing an “indefinite” suspension of Jim Harbaugh is highly in doubt.

Even more interesting, he has been pondering on whether to offer any kind of suspension at all as he’s “painted himself into a dumb corner,” per one of my best sources.

There hasn’t been a definite decision one way or the other and we’ll still have to see how this plays out.

As always, Michigan will fight any suspension and will be ready to go.

No mention of being afraid of a law firm.
The dumb corner is following through on the pressure from the ADs and then finding himself in presumably a losing major lawsuit In year 1.

And where do you think that response came from?…you’re so close.
It came from UM's attornies, of course. But, again, it's not that they hired some law firm with superpowers like you want to think. I have no doubt that their firm is very competent. They obviously are, but they can't perform magic, and the B1G and their very competent attorneys aren't afraid of them.

As you would hope they would do, they are considering the facts that UM presented. That was the reason for the 2 days to respond.

Michigan football has successfully fixed the Republican democrat divide!

You are getting way ahead of yourselves. Losing a major lawsuit? The only thing he might lose right now would be an injunction to keep this from happening. That's it. Hell, that might be his strategy. I can appease everyone by suspending Harbaugh, or whatever, and then the courts will stop it until full litigation.

The problem you have is that you might win the injunction ... I could see that happening ... but you will lose the case ultimately. Your team did in fact cheat. You may win the battle, but you will lose the war.

Again with that word afraid. the worst thing in the world is for this to go to court and allow Michigan to publicly and openly defend their side.

Absolute nonsense. The big ten was ready to try and suspend Harbaugh indefinitely two days ago. Michigan fighting back by getting one of the top firms in the country to represent them absolutely plays into this. It represents so many things, but most importantly the willingness to take this very far and cost a lot.

Link to the bold from the Big 10.

Not from some poster on MGoBlew or some sports reporter looking for 'clicks' and 'follows'.

Pretty sure the Big 10 can't suspend Harbaugh themselves and their lawyers would certainly know that.

You have to be fucking kidding me. You are totally delusional at this point. UM would rather have everyone in the Athletic Department get rectal exams rather than go to court. No team wants discovery. Not a one.

If he did that then the judge will grant Michigan a TRO for sure.

Neither Commissioner Petitti or the COPC have the power to suspend Harbaugh. It's not in the conference language.
At this point only Michigan can can suspend Harbaugh. The Big 10 could only pressure them to do that by threatening to withhold/reduce revenue distributions.

Of course. Which is why you hire the best law firm in the country to prevent it.

We know Ryan Day lies too. He said he was going to hang a 100 on Michigan and two games after he said, he isn't even half way there yet.
He didnt, Harbs ran scared that year. First time it has ever happened.

He can suspend Harbaugh for 2 games in total and fine up to $10k without league permission.

You realize that your awesome law firm will not be able to waltz into court and somehow simply impress or intimidate the judge, right? If the facts are on your side, you will win. If they aren't, you won't win. It's good you have a good law firm, of course. But it's not like you suddenly have a better chance because you hired one of many good law firms.
You realize I couldn't care less. I don't care if they suspend Harbaugh the rest of the year. As long as we can still play the games -- I'm fine.

I already said -- Harbaugh is being punished no matter what. I don't care when it is, but it is happening. I don't care what law firm we hire.

"Best law firm in the country" - sheesh, you don't understand the first thing about law firms and law. Not even worth going over with you anymore. You are so desperate you are now at the "our lawyers are better than your lawyers stage."

What a dunce.

Oh, my bad. Didn't realize it was a one time offer. Well -- at least he is halfway there. I'm sure by 2025, he will reach his goal.

Well that was the answer as to why nobody shared.
Also the answer to why it didn't matter what so ever, as UM rolled everyone anyways in the B1G.

Of course. Which is why you hire the best law firm in the country to prevent it.
I re-read this ... you are so ignorant. You talk about your new badass law firm because they will win the lawsuit, and now you are saying they hired them to keep UM from having to undergo discovery in the very same lawsuit. Not the way it works, champ. No one gets to avoid discovery. You sue, the B1G gets discovery. Seeing Harbaugh and your coordinators under oath will be great.

LOL ...

Exactly as I stated, dunce.

You do this to prevent a lawsuit and then use them to go nuclear if needed.
