Aaron Rodgers trade rumors

I believe the Packers will get a contract done with Adams. He's easily the best wide receiver in the NFL and is only 29.

easily huh?

I would take Jefferson, Kupp, Chase or Samuel over Adams. All had more YPC than adams. He’s slipping out of top 5 and about to rape the Packers. Lol

Kupp is also a quality receiver. Adams and Kupp are at the top of my list.

So you prefer aging WR1 over younger better WR1’s? Got it.

people felt same way about AJ Green and Julio Jones when the writing was on the wall for them

I think Adams has two more top-5 WR seasons left in him before we start see a significant decline. Problem is... Adams wants a lot more than a 2-year contract. ...and I would too if I was in his shoes. Whichever team gives him a long-term deal, they'll deeply regret it on the back half of the deal. Truthfully, I hope Adams plays this year on his Franchise Tag then the Packers let him find another retarded GM to give him a 5-year $150M deal.

@Handicappers, your comparison to Green and Jones is on point. That's gonna be Adams - especially if Adams starts to get those same types of injuries Green and Jones succumbed to.

If I was building a new team and had my choice of any WRs, Chase would be my #1 WR choice. ...Doesn't matter if it was a 1-year fantasy team or a dynasty team. He's got elite talent with the least amount of mileage and least likelihood of significant injury. I'd let someone else draft Adams on a dynasty team, but I'd definitely have him in my top 5 on a 1-year deal.

Adams could force a trade and the Packers could conceivably receive one or two high draft picks in return.

And you are definitely a full-blown cheesehead.
I'm just being honest. My wife is the Packers fan but I live in the Green Bay area and am bombarded by local Packers news coverage. I'm just posting about what I've been hearing.

Adams can't "force" a trade. The Packers are doing everything by the rulebook. If Adams refuses to sign the tag and sits out the whole season, the Packers will have another year of tag on him and Adams will have sacrificed $20M in the process to pout about NFL rules.

I can see the Packers wanting a shorter term contract for Adams.

The Packers do hold all the cards but Adams is a proud man and I'm sure they wouldn't want an unhappy camper on the team.

Of course. Packers have been trying to work out a deal with him, but obviously the sides are pretty far apart. Adams is going to play as many cards as he can, but the Packers have more cards and can wear him out because the rules are in the Packers favor on this one.

And if it does come to Davante playing on the franchise tag, he's gonna need to be on his best behavior because he's playing for that next contract again.

A good point.

He's still pissed at being cut by the Packers.

Pretty sure Greg Jennings pulled that same shit and it didn't work out well for him. Z should probably just keep his mouth shut so he doesn't fire Rodgers up on the field. Rodgers is at his best when he's got any little thing that burns him.

And I guarantee Rodgers knows Z over-commits to the pass rush and constantly pulls himself out of position to defend the run and screen game. Rodgers will exploit that all game.

Smith is upset that he was cut and just is lashing out at Green Bay. The guy had a good contract offer from Baltimore but backed out of the deal because he is more interested in getting revenge. I've lost any respect I've had for him.
