“ESPN would have greater flexibility to pursue business initiatives that may be more difficult as part of Disney, such as sports betting,” Loeb said. “We believe that most arrangements between the two companies can be replicated contractually, in the way eBay spun PayPal while continuing to utilize the product to process payments.”

I know FOX is making a play into sports gambling (one of the reasons it bought Outkick from Clay Travis) so it makes sense ESPN would look in that direction also. In fact, it may be the best way for ESPN to stop the bleeding but the window won't be open forever.

This actually makes some pretty good sense. I can potentially see ESPN+ having an interactive betting module connected to their steaming service.

Here is a link to what FOX is doing through OutKick:

Clay Travis needs to wear a bra

I would take Clay Travis any day over ESPN
Bingo

Except Clay doesn't really do sports anymore as he does the political thing now and I honestly don't know how that is going. I miss his opinion pieces on the network deals, realignment, and the business side of college football. He had a unique and fresh perspective on those things and he was first out of the gate saying ESPN was going to watch their ratings dry up for being woke. He was right.

He only owns .1% of outstanding Disney shares. Disney can tell him to get fucked. Until Vanguard or Blackrock agree with this dipshit he can continue to kick rocks.

Fuck Disney. Sports betting is too edgy but a whole slew of transgender Disney workers parading about the theme parks is just peachy.

There's potential legal issues with getting involved in sports betting that Disney wants no part of.

lol Clay Travis is a clown..

I don't care if this is a good idea or not for Disney, but i do know that Clay Travis has AAAAAIIIIDDDSSSSSSS

I listened to a few podcasts of his new show and he will touch on sports but obviously more time is devoted to politics so I haven't really kept up with it
