My spidey sense is saying not as far north as it is being forecasted... it's already wobbled farther east than expected.. this puts it closer to me.

They’re saying it’s going to crawl north at about 8 mph and then speed up when it turns NNE. That is what will allow it to strengthen.

If it's vertically stacked at 6am it's gonna form an eyewall. At that point it's gonna be a major cane. High Cat 3, maybe low Cat 4. Slow mover so there's lots of time. That trough will pick it up and speed it up. Landfall should be pretty quick which will limit storm surge and damage, but still a hard hit for an area that doesn't see many.

Wind shear off of Yukatan was keeping it from getting vertical earlier. That'll subside as it moves north. Then it's game on in the bathtub.

She's blowin' up in 3 hours!!

The next scheduled recon flight is at 4:30am (CT).

I'm guessing there will be a partial eyewall "F" then.

Looks like it stated it's intensification.. if the wind shear in the gulf stays a little longer than expected the track shifts a little further east.. this will be fun. I'll upload video as it's coming through if I can

My poor precious scallop fields!!!
Hasn't been very good the last couple of years.. maybe this will stir things up and get it back to a good scallop season next year
