Adios, Crystal River, FL....errr I mean Boston

I have to say I appreciate whatever entity is creating and driving these storms and their thoughtfulness of getting the storm back off land in time for CFB Saturday :beer2:

I was surprised to see no change at the 11 am advisory. Still think it will blow up in the next 24 hours.

isn't it still too close to Cuba to blow up?
As long as the center is over water it can get stronger. Also western Cuba lacks the hills and mountains that eastern Cuba has so it won’t shear too much even if it goes over land.

My daughter who is in the Coast Guard and stationed in Pensacola got put on 24-hour recall this weekend, then got recalled for Sunday AM to re-fuel the boat and take on provisions because they were going to deploy to safe waters this morning but that has been delayed because it looks like Pensacola is going to miss the storm.

i think ultimately it travels more north west than the current projection but pensacola should be safe.

I’m not worried if they aren’t deploying the boat they are absolutely sure it’s safe. They can’t take that kind of gamble.

The boat just got back from a 45 deployment so they weren’t exactly pumped about heading back out.

That forecast is because of this trough from Texas to South Carolina.

Hurricanes cannot bust troughs.

Is it common to have two tropical storms starting with the same letter? Do they allow that since there are way more tropical storms than hurricanes?
