2026 is awful, Temple and SJSU are almost guaranteed to be shit. Marshall is a good G5 program, that is probably good for 6-8 wins, but still. Same with 2027.

My guess is they do a one-off in 2025 at a neutral site against a P5 team.

I thought the B1G had a rule of playing at least one P5 OOC opponent every year?

The B1G pussed out and gave several G5 teams like Cincinnati and Army credit as being P5 opponents but I don’t think anyone on that 2025 or 26 even make the expanded list.

San Jose State 2006 9-4 2012 11-2, 2020 7-1
theres a good chance they hit their every 6 or 7 year stride and make a game of it.

No there isn't a good chance of that. That's just a coincidence they've been decent/good every 6/8 years. Odds are them being terrible like they have been every year since 2000 except those years you listed.

It does lack a true, marquee OOC matchup. But it’s not a cakewalk, by any stretch.

WVU, Kent St., Marshall, & Nevada have all pretty consistently been just okay/not-terrible for the past several years now.

Even Temple, Syracuse, & SJSU have all started to show some signs of mediocrity.

This is why B1G teams don’t play Auburn because it takes years to recover.
