After Week 1, pretty clear who the best conference top to bottom is...

Which conference had the best weekend?
These are cringe in early weeks.

Colorado is the only team to play a ranked opponent. Utah played the only other P5 school and it was a still fairly pathetic Florida team. UW played an overly hyped Boise State team that may or may not be Solid G5 this year. Everyone else was in cupcake central.

For those who buy the Sanders for Heisman crap, you forget Mertz's 5 TD game against Illinois in his first game?

Really? I don't know if a Pac 12 team makes the playoff or what the future holds, but I thought it was pretty accepted that the conference as a whole would be tough this year. Finished last year with 6 teams ranked after showing up well in bowl games, and returning a lot of talent this year.

Showing up well in bowl games? You went 3-4 despite every single team playing a lower ranked opponent.

Albeit that was better than the 0-8 showing the previous two years.

6 ranked teams without a single win over a team from another conference ranked higher than 20th....I can say it, I just can't explain it.

Well, unlike some teams I know, MTSU has won back to back bowl games.

Yeah, wouldn’t hang my hat on beating Florida or TCU this year.

So you can't find a better one.

Got it
Just probably short lived.

Next week alone has cougs v wisky, zona v miss st, asu v oky st, cal v auburn, and not saying these should be losses but utah v baylor and duck fans appear nervous about TT.

It could easily end up a bad week. Throw in the chance of the buffs coming out flat against Neb and it could go really badly.

It was a good week for the PAC 12, I think it's fair to say that.

Week 2 should be a good barometer for the conference. Lots of single digit spread OOC games.

P5 Record vs game-time OOC AP ranked opponents

ACC - 1-1 - FSU W vs LSU, UVA L vs Tenn
B1G - 0-0
Big 12 - 0-1 - WVU L vs PSU
Pac 12 - 1-0 - Colo W vs TCU
SEC - 0-2 - FL L vs Utah, SCar L vs UNC
