Pat Dye coached Wyoming for one year before he took the Auburn job (was told if he interviewed at Auburn he was fired but he went anyway) and I’ve heard him say the kids in Wyoming were the toughest he ever coached. The story he loved to tell is he had a lineman grotesquely break a finger in practice and the doctor said he would be out 4 weeks. The kid asked how long if the amputated the finger and the doctor said with wrapping within a week. The kid say cut it off, Dye said don’t do that, his momma said “it’s the right thing to do” and that kid played a week later minus a finger.
 
Might be time to start taking Illinois seriously. Kind of had a feeling they'd crash the party and fuck some shit up this season.
 
And I like that WYO kicker. Dude is money.
