can we talk about how dumb Boston College was to fire Skinner?

From 2001 to 2010, BC went 215-109 overall and 94-66 (!) in conference-play.

They fired him after 2010, b/c the BC AD thought Skinner's style of basketball was boring and that was the reason why attendance was low.

Since 2010, BC has went 132-205 overall and 50-135 in conference play.

what a disaster. The AD that fired Skinner was inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame a few years ago, LOL. He also destroyed their football program during the same time period.

Al Skinner was a good coach for BC but moving to the ACC hurt the program

BC made the tournament in 7 of his 13 years. Haven't made it since he was fired. One of the all-time worst firings in CBB history.

Also. BC with Craig Smith, Dudley and Sean Marshall was a bad ass team. I had them going to the FF in 06, but they lost to Nova in the S16 by like a point or something.

Al Skinner was a great coach at BC. He was a "WINNER".

His teams were hard to watch as he worked them inside-out. That is setting up to bang it out on the two low blocks and two elbows at the foul line with a PG distributing. It was the old Big East walk it up and bump heads in a grind it out game. And Dudley is still on a NBA roster I believe.
