GAME ALAMO BOWL: #20 TEXAS vs #12 WASHINGTON • ESPN • 8CT

Don't worry @OregonDucks

Maybe Lanning will attend some coaching seminars in the off season that'll teach him how to no be a complete dumbass anytime a game matters. Your team is just a coach away from not being complete dog shit.

UW had a good season but hyping up a win over 8-4 Texas while downplaying a win over 9-4 North Carolina is making me laugh

All bowls are nowadays is: "the players we have not good enough for the NFL beat the players you have not good enough for the NFL."

I said it before.

Opt outs have made bowl games less meaningful than NFL preseason games.

They're still fun to watch. They're also good for the extra practice and getting some young guys experience.

Sark is 13-12 at texas. Please sign him to a long term deal already!

No offense, but North Carolina was arguably one of the worst 9 win teams i've ever seen in a P5 conference. They almost lost to Georgia State and App State, they did lose to Georgia Tech, then lost to NC State who was without their starting QB.

NC gave up over 30 ppg for their defense. Drake Maye carried them.

Having an NFL caliber QB can cover up a lot of issues. That's gonna give you a chance to win some games you probably shouldn't.

But yes, the ACC and Big 12 were not good conferences this year.

The Big 12 looks like the SEC compared to the ACC this year. They were as bad as I can ever remember them being.

But man -- Drake Maye looks like he is going to be a stud on Sunday's.

Josh Heupel has gone 18-6 in his 1st 2 seasons and winning the Orange bowl to cap off year two.
I was shocked to see Jeremy Pruitt had the same record as Sark through two years. Previous Tennessee head coaches in their 1st 2 full seasons…

Pruitt: 13-12
Butch: 12-13
Dooley: 11-13
Kiffin: 7-6
Fulmer: 17-6-1

There's no excuse for Texas not being able to turn around quickly.

USC is a similar level of historic program and they went from 4-8 to a NY6 bowl in one year under a new coach.

UW went from 4-8 to 11-3 and they don't have the same blue blood status and nowhere near the same access to donor money.

In this new era it doesn't take 5 years to clear out trash and fully get your kids in. Your staff has to be able to identify talent in the portal and be able to teach up the whole team.

There are coaches doing that very quickly all around the country including Tenn.

Sark? Not so much.

TCU also went from 5-7 to the CFP.

Bevo's problem is that Sark isn't a good coach.

The Big 12 getting their asses handed to them in nearly every bowl game isn't really convincing me of that.

LR took his heisman winning QB and ran through the PAC conference.. Dykes got a veteran team.. people acting like Duggan wasn't starting before..

Sark has a big season coming up.. his OL is a year older and he has a QB returning with a season of experience.. I don't care what TN coaches did in their first year.. I care to see what Sark does in year 3 because if it's anything under 10 wins.. he's gone

TCU hired a football coach and Texas hired and hand shaker - fund raising schmoozer.

Nearly every? TT and TCU won key battles, Ok and Kansas lost by a combined 5pts. So half of their games didn't result in 'getting their asses handed to them'.

TCU playing for the title is very SEC like. Being a big under dog in it isn't.

Still, when we rate conferences against each other, where their top team itself ranks counts for most of the points toward the rest of that conference.

SEC, B1G, and B12 > Pac 12 > ACC
