Alex Grinch Canned...

Is Lincoln Riley delusional? What he said yesterday:

Lincoln Riley said:
I know what [a successful defense looks like, and] Alex [Grinch] was a huge part of that. I mean, I watched a defense when we took over at OU that was not the strength of the program and then I watched in a matter of several months it become the strength of the program.

Defense is an afterthought with Riley, just like it was with Mike Leach.
It'a a necessary evil.

It took him a year and a half to fire Mike Stoops when he got the job.
That's all you need to know about that stupid bullshit.

Might be interesting to see what his record against Texas is.
probably more telling in what happens after he plays his superbowl game vs UT.. falling apart all over the place..

I'm not sure I see the point of leaving Texas for USC for the same position. Unless Pete really wants to get back to the west coast.
he's done wonders.. I mean there still a lot of angst for the way the secondary has performed in stretches.. but unlike the DCs from the Chuck/Tom regimes.. his defenses continue to get better every season.

I'm with you.. he's making over 2 mil a season to be the DC here.. the only way I see him taking this job is because he wants to go back to the west coast. If he decides to go to LA, I can't be mad at him.. guy actually improved this team in his 3 seasons here.. And he wasn't even the one who was supposed to be here lol

Sark had reached out to Muschamp who gave him an ok.. or something close to it (which is why Sark hired the DL, Safetys, CB coach first before the actual DC).. which is even more impressive that PK has improved this team without his own real input on the position coaches.
