TV Series Alien: Earth

Seems like we should get multiple series based on the Aliens, Predators, and The Thing franchises and then have a crossover event like Marvel has. Pay Tony Gilroy obscene amounts of money to oversee all of it.
 
Alien: Earth will be the first TV series in the Alien franchise, coming in 2025 on FX and Hulu. Teaser trailer:

 
Years ago I read the Alien book series where some guy wrote a follow up to what happened to Ripley, Hicks, and Newt after the Aliens movie. He wasn't allowed to let the names stand though due to copyright so he did some editing to make it like a separate trio escaping from an alien infested planet.

It was pretty good light reading. As expected the damn things get loose on earth eventually. I stopped reading eventually so don't know how far he wrote but I know I read 3-4 books.

I'm guessing since the title has "Earth" in it then we're looking at the same outcome. I'm very excited about this, Alien is my favorite franchise.
