I love oysters. I get them pretty much anytime they are on a menu. I bought a shucker set about a month ago. Now need to get to the seafood shop and give them a try at home.

I'd be happy to go to their lounge and split a plate of oysters, duck meatballs, and boudin blanc sausage

damnit, now i'm hungry for good food

I do think I need them cooked, but I should probably try raw

even better when topped with pork belly

They have a couple early reservation slots on Friday, which is unusual...next available reservation isn't until August 9th. But I'm not sure Mr. Kobe can get off work early to get there in time. I need him to get off his meeting and let me know the earliest he can be done with work.

Raw is the best way. A little horseradish, lemon, and cocktail sauce. I'll take them cooked as well, but prefer them raw.
 
I'll have to take Mrs Pnk to dinner somewhere this weekend now

I'll need to try find an agreeable spot where I can something a little different

I have so many places need to get out and try

Can you walk into the bar area? It says reservations required, but I'm not sure about the lounge.

We went to the Gnome Pub on Saturday. Food was meh. Tons of beer options though. Last night was HH. Dive bar on Sunday after we golfed. Need to figure what to do for tonight.

growing up my exposure was only to oyster stew at christmas, was where oysters cooked in a cream/butter broth popular, I never much cared for it.

I'm regretting not getting a fried oyster po boy in NC, maybe Mrs Pnk and I will get back to coast this fall or winter

not sure, but most places bar areas aren't via reservation, but couldn't say for sure

I like Gnome, but mainly for the patio.

I find their food good but not great, I see what you're saying. Plus they do a lot for community, so I continue to support them
