Loved this movie! All of it. Including this scene....even if it felt like it needlessly shit on Bruce Lee in its effort to expose the bad ass that Cliff Booth was.

And we did kind of need such exposition for this character at the end of the movie to make what happened seem not out of left field.
 
It was truly somewhat unfortunate that both of these movies came out the same year. Both were best picture and actor worthy. I went with Manchester by the Sea that year because that movie hit me a little harded given the context/situation of Casey Afflecks character. But Fences is truly fantastic as well and Washington is an incredible actor.


This scene still hurts to watch, I couldn't imagine... for those that don't know the context, you can read it here...
He got drunk and high with a fire going in his house, he left to go to the store and the house caught fire killing his 3 or 4 kids (all the way down to a new born). His wife made it out, but she was it

Such an underrated movie and I don't know why. Should be up there with Godfather, Casino and Goodfellas

That movie is the absolute pinnacle of so terrible it's funny at how terrible it is, with the lead actor/director/producer being some mysteriously rich foreign guy thinking this is how American cinema is.

Basically a completely unintentionally comedy.
 
One of the all time great movies scenes and scores the dollars series is are classic imo
