My father died today.
Born Aug 3, 1923
1944-1945... 101st Airborne 502 Regiment
1948-1985 worked for Sohio Petroleum Co.
Died Feb 3, 2022

Looking at Ike's face, the man behind his profile or the one behind the tip of Ike's nose is my father, June 5, 1944.

Looks like he served our country well and I thank him for that.

Condolences man. He was a key piece of that greatest generation. And man, 98.5 years is a great life!

Lost my father 8 years ago this month.

Seems we get the suckiest weather in February as well.

Best thing about it is it's the shortest month of the year.

I ran into a couple of WWII vets the other night at the VFW. Great conversation and they had great senses of humor like every other WWII vet I've met through the decades.

He was part of the greatest generation. We are all proud of him.
 
I ran into a couple of WWII vets the other night at the VFW. Great conversation and they had great senses of humor like every other WWII vet I've met through the decades.
The best people on the planet to talk to are ages 2-5 and >80. 2-5 for the energetic comedy; >80 for the wise perspective.
