Because Allen is an extreme outlier. AR's draft stock going up doesn't mean he'll pan out, and the overwhelming likelihood is that he won't. Any casual fan can say "Oh the big athletic dude with a strong arm but horrible everything else is the next Josh Allen". It's incredibly unlikely.

Did anyone notice how bad the Gators were without him in the bowl game? This man is the only reason the Gators won games. He is a great athlete and has a high ceiling. But no way should he be a #1 pick.

The whole team was bad not only in the bowl game but for most of the season. They definitely won some games in spite of him and lost some because of him. He's a great athlete, yes. He's an awful QB though. His ceiling is "high" because of his athleticism and arm strength, but there are a ton of important things in between that he is doing at a Pop Warner level at the moment.

Watching this guy play, the much better comparison I see would be a poor man's Terrelle Pryor. Limited as a passer (though Pryor was a little better), fantastic size and athleticism. AR should hope he can make some money from a foolish team taking him top 10 and start working in with the WRs or TEs.

I guess a lot of them are saying he had really good interviews as well. His deep ball throws were really nice, his intermediate throws weren't terrible but they weren't great either.

A lot of people are saying he only started one year, he has time to learn but I'm kind of the opinion that it isn't time to learn that much at the highest level of your sport.

Doesn't take special ability to make throws in a t-shirt with no defenders. People were saying this sort of stuff about Zach Wilson and Josh Rosen too, but if you don't have it between the ears it won't make a difference.
 
We all knew he’d have a good combine. He sucks under pressure and isn’t accurate.

Aside from Jalen Carter’s legal issues, several UGA players made some money at the combine. Nolan Smith, Darnell Washington and Stetson Bennett all had good showings.

And like I told you fuckers, Bennett is a full inch taller than Bryce Young(Young is the better talent obviously, but everyone keeps calling Bennett a midget)

I'm just repeating what I've heard and read. If the dude is crushing his interviews he must have something up there bc QB interviews they are going to be asking about schemes and defensive recognition.

I still think it's an extreme reach for anyone drafting this kid top 10
