Anyone ever try McDonalds?

1000 Island Dressing
I use it on my burgers sometimes. ...cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion & pickles with 1000 island (instead of ketchup, mayo, mustard, etc.) Good stuff.

i do too, and it works in a pinch, but if i had the option, i'd prefer the big mac sauce.

Had my once every two years Shamrock Shake on Monday.

They are disgusting now.
I don’t know if my tastes have changed or fast food in general has gotten worse. I don’t eat much fast food any longer, but I used to like it. Lately, every time we’ve had it, I’ve been disappointed.

Same. If we have the opportunity to grill some burgers or chicken at home, I'm choosing that option over fast food 100% of the time.

it's not quite the same as standard 1000 island dressing, though.

All brands 1000 Island taste different. I make my own. Learned it back in the day when I was a chef trainer. Just change your ratio of ketchup and salad dressing, or add a little vinegar. Also try different brands of sweet pickle relish. All just variations on a theme.

There was a small chain of burger joints called Chips when I was in high school and everybody raved about how good the Chips Sayce was. Got a job there before I left for college. Fiund out that Chips Sauce was just Heinz and mustard mixed together.

McDonalds did fuck up their fries when they reformulated them about 20 years ago.

got me a Royale with Cheese last night on the way home from happy hour.

Sounds Irish. How’s the shepherd’s pie?
