Because they meet MLBs required specs. Seems like a fairly easy concept to get.

Exactly. Seems like that would be a pretty simple concept to tinker with in R&D.That's what I'm wondering about...the only thing the "torpedo bat" does is shift more of the weight to the bats "sweet spot".
Amazing that no one at Louisville Slugger, Easton, etc. thought "What if we shift some of the weight to the part of the bat that players are trying to contact the ball with?"

I wouldn't doubt that someone did and were told to shut up and color, i.e "we're making a ton of money with what we're doing so why mess with it"Exactly. Seems like that would be a pretty simple concept to tinker with in R&D.
So it either doesn't actually provide benefit, or they're dumbfucks.
Of course. There's no way any of the bat companies would be interested in gaining market share. . .I wouldn't doubt that someone did and were told to shut up and color, i.e "we're making a ton of money with what we're doing so why mess with it"
Remember, these companies are probably ran by old geezers that don't like change, can't figure out a smart phone,Of course. There's no way any of the bat companies would be interested in gaining market share. . .
I have something to talk about:....I mean, they openly either cheated or found a serious loophole that I can't imagine how no one else has figured out how to do this for the entire existence of the game of baseball. Does the MLB ban these new bats or do they allow them this year and every other team starts to follow or start figuring out how to modify their bats to be even better?
I mean Sosa got ramrodded for possibly corking his bat. This is worse.
