Agreed ... I live in Carolina but am not a Carolina fan. If they did all that for AR15, they are insane. I don't think they are insane. They will take Bryce or Stroud. Not really sure that either is worthy of a no. 1 pick, but the QB class is kind of weak this year. That is until you get to Stetson!

It just has to be Stroud.

Bryce is going to be good but he is going to run into the same issues that Tua has and will struggle to stay healthy just because of his size. I feel horrible for Tua because he seems to be a great kid but if he gets a few more concussions it could be a bad situation for him.

Tua was injury prone in college, Bryce less so. Even big QBs get hurt if you can’t protect them. This is a terrible QB class. Panthers fucked up, IMO. I don’t see any of these guys being franchise QBs.
 
With the pillow soft QB rules of today, teams only concern for QB size is height
.

Bryce missed about the same amount of time that Tua did.

Tua’d issues in the pros is his size and the fact that his protection isn’t near what it was in college which is what happens when you play behind an NFL line in college.

Bryce is going to struggle with the physicality of the pros because they will get to him a lot more often than he ever experienced in college.

I’ve got nothing against the kid but size and physics are not going to be his friend.

Not true at all. Tua was injured multiple times in multiple seasons. Bryce just that once where he missed two games. It's not really a big deal ... that is just luck most likely, and doesn't really project to the pros. And, every QB in the Pros will get hit based on your argument ... i don't care how big you are, if you get hit you are going to get hurt. The key is to try and not get hit ... Bryce actually is weirdly good at that.

Tua has played very well when healthy. I should know, I am a lifetime Dolphin fan. But, he has not been healthy very much.

Bryce has a great pocket presence ... it is what makes him so good. That, and as I heard someone say the other day, he doesn't have a heartbeat. The dude is a baller under pressure.

You are stating the obvious about his size, but does it matter that much? I mean they are willing to take AR15 due to his size, even though he sucks as a QB. Every QB in this class is a project. There are no sure-fire guys at all.

Given that Chicago has their #1 next year and #2 in 2025, I'd be thrilled if they took him.

I think everyone outside the state of North Carolina would be thrilled.

The NC state legislature should pass a bill making it illegal to draft AR15 in the state of NC.
