I mean, the Mets missed the 8 team playoffs too, but they didn't implode, they sucked from the get go, but the Phillies were a lock to be in the playoffs just a couple weeks ago, and now they're officially eliminated. All they had to do was take one game from the Rays who had already clinched and they got swept.

8 games they had a lead of at least 3 runs that they lost
