GAME Arizona State @ Arizona 7pm EST on ESPN

COVID isn't going to save Sumlin, he'll be fired shortly after the season is over.
According to espn's schedule, this is their last game, so season over.
UL Monroe is in need of a new HC

ASU needs to go back to those unis, full-time. That's the best looking helmet of any college football uniform in the country, IMO

All of the PAC 12 teams are expected to play next week. They just haven’t determined the matchups

Maybe he'll end up there, at a smaller school with fewer expectations.....if not, just go to a smaller school and lick your wounds.....

We were pleased with last night's results.

Had no idea it was even on.

So who coaches Arizona next year after Sumlin is fired?

I've heard Sark would be considered

His issue was alcohol, not meth. So Sark to Zona could work.

I think he would be a good fit. I've heard he's not drinking anymore (which I hope for his sake is true).

He's a good recruiter, good offensive mind and has ties to the west coast. If I were a Zona fan, I'd be a fan of the hire. But what do I know? I thought Sumlin would be a good fit.

Yeah, Sark had his issues at UW and obviously at USC, but if he's truly off the sauce, he could really be a good hire for them. As you said, a good offensive mind and can recruit. He also knows the PAC and isn't likely to have the pressure on him that he had at UW and SC.

I thought Sumlin would be a good hire too. I think he had trouble recruiting that Sark likely won't have.

I think Sark actually did a pretty good job at UW despite the drinking issues. He laid the foundation for CP to come in have the success that he did. Sark took over a UW team that struggled through the 2000s and went 0-12 in 2008. He brought them back to respectability. His drinking was his ultimate downfall at USC IMO. It's always sad to see something like that. I've seen too many people close to me lose a lot because of drinking so I don't want to see anyone suffer that fate.

As for Sumlin, the biggest mistake I made was thinking Sumlin would recruit well. He recruited pretty well at Texas A&M, even if they didn't always live it up to it on the field. At Arizona, their recruiting has fallen off a cliff. It's shocking how bad it's gotten.

Yeah, had high hopes with Sark. But that bottle can be tough to beat. Seen the same with some family and friends because of drinking.

Yeah, as far as I know, Sumlin had no West coast ties and no PAC ties and Arizona has never really been easy to recruit to.

Sark did a great job at UW, but I don’t think he is the guy for a college head coach. He has always done great as the number 2 or if he were up for a NFL gig.

Who do you think Arizona could realistically get that would do better?

Dear ASU,

Keep those helmets as your primary ones.
