Such a unique show. A bit heavy on the racial commentary at times but still very good. One of the most bingeable shows out there. First got into it a few years ago when I binged the first two season in a short period of time. Then the show went into hiatus during covid a bit but ultimately came out with 2 seasons last year. I binged those two season over the past week or so completely unaware that the 4th season was the final season. Great final season, an all time great finale.

I guess at it's core it is comedy show but it also can't be clarified as that because so many of the episodes are surreal and often not comedy at all. Just very creative. Some episodes are very drama. Some episodes don't have any of the main characters from the show at all. Just very unique but always good.


Anyway if you watch it the best three episodes of the series by far are Teddy Perkins (6th episode of the 2nd season), Crank Dat Killer (6th episode of season 4) & the final episode of the series. And those are some all time great episodes of television. Highly recommend the show.

I'd just classify it as surrealist. Its not really a drama nor a comedy. Some episodes are grounded. Some episodes are completely out there. Its whatever it wants to be in a given episode, though it does have some general plot lines through out the series (mostly the relationships between the main cast). Season 3 is a bit of a step down because they spent too much time on episodes not focused on the cast, basically making their own little Black Mirror series, but seasons 1,2 and 4 are excellent.

Glover is an interesting guy and is smart as shit.

his (Childish Gambino) rap is really good too...he has a very specific style that I really dig.
