ATM's next 7 games ... can Dumbo survive?

Also the real comedy is that I have ZERO doubt that they will just keep flinging money around like crazy hoping to buy a winner.

I really don't think this method is sustainable long term in College Football. Team Chemistry is pretty important. You might hit paydirt once every so often but more often than not this approach is going to fail.

lol it's because we are TEXAS.. it's like the cowboys.. whether you like it or not we always get gassed up every season. Look at all the crap we are getting.. and we weren't even ranked in the pre season top 25.. but expectations...

At least Texas is showing some signs of potential

A&M is hot ass but will still be top 15 at minimum next preseason, if not top 10 and talked about as a "sleeper CFP contender"

Yep.

Texas A&M loses 4+ games more often than not (they've only not lost 4+ games twice in 10 full seasons since joining the SEC), yet it seems like every preseason they get built up to be some kind of contender.

It's really a joke.
If anyone really looked at it, the QB situation wasn't solid coming into the season. King was hurt last season and didn't look anything special when he wasn't. Max Johnson was bipolar at LSU. They bring in a new DC and reshuffle the coaching positions on the offense. But because they brought in the #1 recruiting class (highest rated of all time), you get idiots like Desmond Howard picking them in the CFP.

So if you thought they were going to be legit this season that's on you.. but I understand why aggy fans were so high..when you have Texags gassing you up that this is the season before the season but still good enough to push everyone in the SEC...

Only 4 loss team I ever remember being ranked in the Top 10 at the end of the season.
we had 7 losses last season.. we have 3 currently and are ranked #26 lol

I figured they'd lose 3 maybe 4 games. You're right anyone who actually pays attention could tell the offense would be shaky. I thought the defense would be good enough to bail out a mediocre offense most of the time against the South Carolina types, but that has not been the case.

A&M has a 5 star QB and has decided to let King continue to stink it up.

Is Weigmann just bad?

Does Jimbo think this is like the NFL and you get rewarded for tanking?

Looks like 4 loss Auburn was ranked #10 in the final AP poll the year before Texas cracked it with 4 losses.

This even after losing to UCF in the bowl game..

You gotta go all the way back to 1992 to find the last time it happened before those 2 (9-4 Florida was #10)

Yeah we finished 2nd for Dindy and Overton. We need Dline help!
Overton choosing Texas A&M was a legitimate decision and I respect that choice even though it was a disappointment he didn't come to OU. Dindy's family selling out for 30 pieces of silver at the last second was slimy as hell. I have zero respect for his parents who are both Oklahoma grads but took the money, honey. We definitely need the help so either one or both would have to be welcome to Norman if they would make the move but Brent Venables asks his recruits to be double sure before they commit/transfer.

The way schools are approaching NIL are all different

A&M is just throwing out money up front no questions asked.

I know Ohio State is at least somewhat making players actually earn their keep, nut just paying dad or whoever to secure the commitments.

A&M will probably be THE case on how this won't work out well more often than not. As i've said before though, they will without a doubt keep doing it and not learn.

Is A&M going to go after Bourbon Meyer?

The question is which coaching staff/admin dept is gonna get caught first giving a list of players to boosters or collectives to target?

It may be the wild wild west, but that's supposedly a no-no.

Is there a greater myth than the "success" of A&M under Johnny Football.

2 losses 3rd in the SEC West and 4 losses 4th in the SEC West.

They pretty much built their current hype off of that. I mean it's not bad, but it gets talked about like it was more than it was by some.

Jimbo, to his credit is trying to get a redshirt for Weigman, he hasn't looked sharp so far but word is that King is still hurt and Connor starts this week

Is Jimbo trying to get Card yet?

UCF was the legitimate national champ that year.
