The only issue with that is you are paying 70+ million for an offensive coach. You now need to pay to find a new offensive coach? Hard to ask boosters for money to help a HC with his area of competence

you don't have to ask boosters to help, he needs to let go whomever the shill is at OC.. He literally is playing roulette with his offensive coaches.. one was a WR coach who now is the QB coach, RB is now TE coach.. like WTF.

He would have to drop his ego and let an OC run the offense. That is like asking a scorpion not to sting. (This is has been covered in the scorpion and frog story)

Pretty telling the stat during the game about putting players in motion and how much better we do. But then back to "line it up and run it" old school ball. Getting tiring.

I think this is what separates coaches. Ego, stubborn, etc, whatever you want to call it. Those that can get out of their own way seem to "get" it. You know Saban hated having to give up his run stuffing LBs...but he realized the game was changing and had to in order to stay on top.

The most hilarious part is A&M can't do anything because of the Buy-Out.

I guess they need to hope Jimbo wakes up and becomes a good coach again.

I don’t understand schools getting themselves into some of these “binds”. (How many coaches was Notre Dame paying off at one time?). Many of these contracts ain’t performance based fo sho.

But, they do get in these financial dilemmas (not just A&M) which shows just how much money can be tossed away. No wonder NIL and the portal came to pass.
