lol.. Seems like the boosters were right when it was time to move on from Frost, when they knew Harsin wasn't the right guy.. Hell the boosters at UT were right about Strong.. Houston segment of UT boosters were dead wrong about Herman
Boosters/Donors are vital.. If you don't think so..look at the best coach in Tuscaloosa.. he basically had to whine to get them to kick up more money for an arms race for money under the disguise of NIL. They fall in line cause that's SABAN. What other school will have Donors fall in line like that?

When Saban got to Alabama the booster all came to him asking what they could do and said we have everything we need except the right players so go get me some players. Dodge Chargers was the top-selling vehicle in the state of Alabama the next year.

yes because they hit rock bottom and during discussions Saban told them this is what he wanted.. They all threw in money for all the analyst positions that spawned overnight, he had positions for staff to overlook roster and individual position rooms. He also had them pay for a psychologist and 2 S&C coaches..
But you know why they did it? Because in year 3 he won a title.. and they never looked back since. Again what other program Boosters "fall in line" behind a current coach? I know aggy did.. but look at them now, they are the ones leaking all this shit out about what's going on. When you have Texags the mouth piece turn on Jimbo.. that ONLY happens when the money gives him the say so

The first year after the extension has been a disaster. I get why they over spent but didn’t really agree with it then. If he is successful again, they will need to throw more stupid money at him to keep the likes of Texas or Some other big name that is on a constant coaching carousal or the over paid for a coach to bomb. There really isn’t an in between for a program like Michigan State.

The powers that be, the big money donors, wanted to put out a huge number so that if anyone who wants to come knocking will have to open up their pocket books. They fear a Nick Saban situation again so they wanted to put it on lock down. Problem is you either A. Prove he is worth the money and someone will out bid you yet again with a program that actually has a good chance of winning a Natty or 2. You are paying a massive contract for a mediocre coach. Last year it looked good. This year it looks bad. Time will tell but I’m going to lean towards this being a bad contract.

They fall in line because when Saban came in he kicked them to the curb. Then he won. Now they help. Texas' boosters are more of a bug than a feature. If they get out of the way and let good football people run the show, they can celebrate later. Seriously, read up on what Saban did when he got to Bama.

lol that is such a myth.. UT Boosters don't get in the way like that.. Had Herman delivered what he was saying in year 4, he would have stuck around.. but he didn't and he made no friends with all the shit HE was doing in the background.
Earlier this season, they said Boosters meddled with Sark making him start Quinn over Card.. lol it's just a joke for us UT fans at this point
The way I have heard it, Saban kicked them to the curb while still in Miami. It was a precondition of him accepting the job. Of all the things that Saban has done, striping the REC/boosters from power over the athletics and out of recruiting was the smartest.

Someone referenced in a video (I think Josh Pate) that A&M could look better this weekend with all the 5 stars gone because they may actually get the players on the field that give a damn.
