I don't know if y'all have heard or not, but Texas fired Beard.

Nope. I ain’t worried about Oats leaving until Izzo retires. Possibly Syracuse when Boeheim retires but I doubt it

Oats is very good and I'm not sure following Izzo is the brightest idea and if he can get Bama to a final four he can coach there for life.

I'm not worried about Bruce leaving Auburn his package is too good, he has the best atmosphere in college basketball right now and really the closest hot team to ATL. I think Bruce is going to be at Auburn for another 6 to 7 years and then try to pass the torch to his son Stephen. Normally that wouldn't be the best idea but Stephen is quickly becoming one of the best recruiters in the conference.
 
Texas should just give the Job to Rodney Terry. People will say he sucked at UTEP…..but it’s fucking UTEP

I don't know about UTEP but he did a pretty good job at Fresno State
 
Its interesting that on the same day the charges against Beard are dropped the Celt8cs announce the full time hiring of Joe Mazzulla a HC ( given Mazzulla was one arrested for basucally the same thing Beard has been charged with )

He's a University employee though.

There's much bigger things going on at UT than basketball, plus Austin is a liberal bubble.

I'll be honest, I'm not really sure why a place like UT-Austin would want to pay a guy like Beard that much. It's not like they need to be good at basketball to advance the university.

It's like Beard did them a favor. I honestly think he's a super coach though, probably the best in the game.

Sure. I was just speaking societally really

Beard will be fine. In a few years no one will care and he will be coaching again
