GAME B1G Conference game: #7 OREGON DUCKS at ucla 11pm ET on FOX

What's going on here?.

Did OD sprain his beak blowing himself yet? Asking for a friend, or enemy. As if that matters.

Is that 3 missed xps for Sappington this year?

My take on UCLA:

Foster was a bad hire and his team is undisciplined. A lot of cheap shots/dirty plays by the Bruins in this one but UCLA is stuck with him for awhile because they are poorly ran.

Ducks got sloppy again but took care of business. This game should not have been as close as it was imho.

B1G members, should we kick out ucla? Total Jr school of LA

Sucks that, unlike Oregon, they're getting a full revenue share, huh?

Seriously though, gotta give them a couple of years. The way Chip Kelly left and losing their DC kind of screwed them. They lost a bunch of guys to the portal and didn't really get much chance to replace them.

Meh, I get it.

Oregon can't look at it from the perspective of "what is UCLA getting?" but rather, "what would we have had if we didn't leave?"

Would you quit making sense.

Didn't see a lot of the game, but if they're giving cheap shots, Foster needs to address that.

Them being poorly run is partly on them, but it's also on them being a state school in a state that looooves them some bureaucracy. They can't just fire a coach and bring in a new one when they want. Where all USC needs to fire and hire a coach is donors willing to cover the buyout and the new contract...There's some government committee that has to approve everything UCLA does and that takes time. They have lost coaching candidates simply because the candidate got tired of waiting. Because of that, Foster was something of an emergency hire. At least they can say he has ties to the program and the fanbase knows him.

They need to hire an AD who understands the importance of football. They don't give it the emphasis that it deserves when considering the money it generates. I think it says something that Chip Kelly was willing to leave the program for what was essentially a demotion (at least as far as title).

Very true. It could definitely be a lot worse. Hell, not even considering the money...what would it be like just trying to recruit well enough to stay competitive at a P4 conference level?

I could see UCLA only winning 2 or 3 games. Yikes
