The Iowa Lady Hawkeyes just lost to LSU.

Last Football Title: 2014
Last Basketball Title: 2000
Last Women's Basketball Title: 1999 (only 1 ever and that was Purdue)
Baseball: 1966
Softball: 2005
Men's Golf: 2002
Women's Golf: 2010
Swimming: 2013

They are very good in Men's Wrestling (they have won like 9 out of last 10 so this must be their sport), Women's Bowling(2021), and Women's Volleyball (2021) so there is that.

whats the significance of 2008?
 
Women's volleyball is very competitive nationwide and is a true team sport (versus a competition like golf, swimming, bowling and wrestling). You sold volleyball short. B1G won 5 of the last 10 volleyball championships.
 
If Iowa had won, it would have been their 2nd Team Sport win in a NCG.

1986 Women's Field Hockey

All football NCs were claimed and not by a NCG.

All other NCs were from individual sports.
 
And what has bugged me since the game is all the other Iowa fans blaming the refs for the outcome. Were they horrible? Yes, but LSU was better as well.

The whole classless taunting? It doesn't bother me as long as it is too another top star, the team as a whole, or the fanbase. Honestly, I was kind of hoping they would have gone back and forth all game.

I was going to say you forgot the biggest one VB. But the old slow man from Wisconsin beat me to it. The ONLY championship that matters nowadays is the REVENUE championship. As long as the networks are willing to pay them the big bucks without winning many (if any) nattys, they are still king of the hill.

Soooooooooo, in spite of not winning any of those championships, the B1G is #1.

When you include research dollars! Help me out here. Is B1G research larger than the Ivy League?
 
B1G owns wrestling. Won NC last 16 times. 2nd place 11 of those times.

Academic alliance definitely does well when it comes to dollars but I doubt it makes any of the schools number one. That generally is going to go to a med school. Last I heard John Hopkins spends a boatload

In that Vandberily has a couple NCs in bowling and Women's Tennis, I think you are wrong!!! Those sports obviously matter! Baseball, too.
 
If you are going to include golf as a major sport then I don't see how you don't include hockey or soccer
 
Caitlin Clark is a badass. Iowa will be back next year.
