B1G releasing Football Schedule

It's too bad Texas will never play a SEC West schedule. It allows them to talk shit but deep down they know the truth.
So sorry for your loss...

Moos can continue to whine a bunch about that schedule and honestly some of it is warranted. But at the end of the day there isn’t many outside of husker fans that will supply pity when Nebraska got exactly what they were seeking, a fall football season in the B1G.

No complaints here. We wanted football and we got football. Like I said, this season is house money so let’s see how the cards fall.

I’d rather have Ohio State, Whisky and Penn State early when they might be a little rusty still than late in the season when they have the kinks worked out.

We wanted football, time to man up.

And fuck the national media. Just gave them one more thing to get paid to cover and talk about. Desmond Howard and espn can suck my sweaty salty balls

yeah I agree, it's football, enjoy it...even if it's a blowout. But I do feel sorta bad (i know, i know) for NE, Frost is still trying to build this thing and with this front loaded schedule, they may get routed and look bad early. Who knows if any of the other games get nixed for whatever reasons, and a bad loss will be on everyone's mind when they think of Frost/NE/

Negative recruiting will continue if they don't put up a respectable fight early. BTW these games are sloppy early.. maybe NE can surprise everyone and hang with tosu for a half or so?

Any Husker fan looking for sympathy about the schedule is delusional. You don’t become a top program by just beating teams like Rutgers and Illinois.

Can’t win against the top tier teams unless you actually play them. I have confidence in Frost’s coaching ability and his recruiting regardless of how this year plays out.

And I would hope that recruits would want to play for a coach that will stand up and fight for his players and do anything possible to help them get a chance to compete, no matter who it is against.

A good way to find out what you need to improve on is by playing against the best. Anytime anywhere. Let’s do this.

I have to LOL at the Nebraska admins on this one. They didn't play OSU in 2013, 2014, 2015 and then we're randomly chosen to play OSU between 2016 and 2021 as part of the scheduling change. Why are they bitching when they knew OSU was going to be on the schedule anyway? LOL at the Nebraska AD.

Most actual Nebraska fans are not bitching about it. We already had tOSU and PSU on the schedule for the year our 3rd crossover was dropped (Rutgers) A better case can be made that our cross over has been brutal since entering the B1G but so what? Once Nebraska gets back it will be a good thing beating the best.(i sure hope im alive to see this) Moos didnt really bitch so much as answer questions where he said he was hoping that a better schedule can be made (never even offered insight into what that might look like) If you want to be the best you gotta play the best. Playing pussies will only make you the best pussy. ESPN made this into a huge thing especially with their constant lying every chance trying to claim "Nebraska was trying to leave the Big Ten" and other bullshit that never happened in any way shape or form.

TL;DR ESPN is owned by ABC does it surprise you that they run fake articles and made up bullshit? Nebraska fans are not upset. (majority/Real)

Those people are fucking morons how it went from "we will pursue all our options to try and play football"(meant reaching out to any team still playing to get gams in, like a 100% non con schedule since the b1g wasnt goina play) to "Nebraska says it wants to leave the Big 10" is beyond me......

@Ohio St
Wisconsin
@Northwestern
Penn St
Illinois
@ Iowa
@Purdue
Minnesota

I am not shocked at all. I was telling everyone weeks ago that when this started back up, due to Nebraskas push back we were going to get the 2 toughest in the East (Ohio St and Penn St). We all knew we would get Ohio St anyway because whoever makes the schedule is a fucking idiot. Pretty sure we have played Ohio St every year except once since joining the B1G and we have never been in the same division. Scheduling isn't that hard, just make it a rotating basis. Same goes for the fools that make the SEC schedule.
I can’t recall ever seeing you guys play Michigan yet? You played them at least twice yet? I’m sure you have but I can’t think of a single time.

Since joining the B1G 4 times 11,12,13, 18
Yeah we have. Since joining the B1G this is the breakdown of how many times we have played conference opponents.

Illinois - 7 times.
Indiana - 2 times.
Iowa - 9 times.
Maryland - 2 times.
Michigan - 4 times.
Michigan State - 6 times.
Minnesota - 9 times.
Northwestern - 9 times.
Ohio State - 6 times.
Penn State - 4 times.
Purdue - 7 times.
Rutgers - 3 times.
Wisconsin - 9 times.

Our crossovers thus far listed according to fbschedules.com

2021 - Ohio St, Michigan, and Michigan St (oh fuck you)
2022 - Rutgers, Indiana, and Michigan
2023 - Michigan, Maryland, Michigan St
2024 - Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St (go fuck yourself) - those are back to back to back btw.
2025 - Michigan, Indiana, Rutgers
2026 - Not listed yet

@gobucks0409 - judging from future schedules, it does look like a 5 years on or something. I would really like to see the format of this. We have played Ohio St a lot lately, but we play Michigan 5 straight years coming up... but then we have Ohio St again in 2024 so it isn't 5 years off.

I don't know what the fuck this format is, but its fucking gay.

Fuck whoever made the 2024 conference schedule.

Yeah, can't see an obvious pattern there

2021 - Indiana, Penn St, Maryland
2022 - Michigan, Ohio St, Rutgers (fair)

2024 - Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana (are you fucking kidding me)
2025 - Ohio St, Michigan, Rutgers (fair)

I am asking how the format is. What is this non-existent "rotation"? Because none of this makes sense.

I am sure its easy to sound like a whiner when you have schedules like yours most years. But yeah, go hawks amirite
