B1G's Commish Warren ...

I do believe what was said in that article because it makes total sense. Warren is flapping his gums when he shouldn't be and doesn't have to be. You watch ... he will walk back some of those comments in the next 48 hours. LOL at saying Dennis Dodd isn't a legit sports writer.

How many times do I have to write I don't care what Warren and the B1G did with USC and UCLA. The B1G wasn't saying no to them when they came calling. Just like no one would have said no to UT and OU. What I have said is that Warrens's ongoing gum flapping with regard to continued expansion is what is destabilizing right now.

You seem to not like Sankey as you keep bringing him up when I am talking Warren.
I brought up Sankey because HE IS THE ONE WHO BROUGHT TEXAS AND OU INTO THE SEC. He is the one who started the destabilization right now and the B1G followed suit, so they wouldn't be left behind, like so many programs will be when this is said and done.

That is why I am laughing at you talking about Warren, when none of this happens if the SEC didn't start it all.

I couldn't care less about Sankey. I couldn't care less about Warren. Common sense should tell you, the conference responsible for the current shakeup is the conference who started the shakeup. You think the CFP is going to stay the same when you take OU, Texas and USC out of their conferences? It will be next to impossible for any Big 12 or Pac school to get into the CFP now. If the ACC didn't have the GOR -- the SEC would have raided the ACC too. And then the CFP would have essentially been only teams from the SEC and B1G -- that is where this is going.

And I'm sure CBS has great writers -- writers, just like radio personalities, write and say things to drum up interest in whatever they are talking about. When there isn't a name behind a comment -- 9 out 10 times, it is because no one said it, so they fill it in with their "athletic source" or whatever generic name they'd like to use. What happens then? People like you copy and paste it to message boards like this, drumming up interest in the article, drawing traffic to the site. It is journalism 101.

The #1 sports talk radio show here in Metro Detroit has a guy named Valenti, who makes a tremendous living off doing exactly this. He makes the unpopular statements to get a rise out of fan bases, passes the comments off to "sources in the business" and he does it because people will call in and comment.

Goodness ... three times I've stated what I am getting on Warren about. Three times you have whiffed on it. It's like you don't even read what I am writing and you are arguing things I am not even saying. Have the last word, I'm out.

You are asking someone if they are 15, while your response is filled with elementary school name calling? Priceless. Keep up the good work.

It doesn't surprise me that Nebraska fans are talking about a decade plus ago -- it seems to the ONLY thing they talk about. We are talking about the present. We realize Nebraska likes to live in the past, but come join us here in the now.

And FUCK TEXAS for trying to leave 12 years ago and sticking the B1G with Nebraska, who has added ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the conference, other than women's volleyball. No wonder everyone hates Texas. :pound:

LOL

Derrrr, WhoPhoneDis?

So you can't dispute that realignment didn't "start" with the SEC nabbing TX/OU and since you were called out, you now need to distract from that flaming idiocy.
That statement was ignorant to say the least. Something a 15 year old would think.

One can legit say it started when TX/A&M/Baylor/Tx Tech left the SWC to join the Big 8 and make the Big 12.
One can legit say it started when TX was threatening to take 3 other teams from the Big 12 and join the PAC.
One could legit say it's when Arky left the SWC and joined the SEC.

None of which I or anyone else could argue.

Not you though. You're all about 'What is today is tomorrow'. Your dumbfuckery glares in every post and did on commiehoopla when you were TrustMeIAmRight.
That's why you changed your handle to WhoPhoneDis when you came over here. Everybody knew you were a dumbass there and you needed a new slate.

Death to all conferences. End it now
Funny, but for some reason I think you guys are going to come out of this ok. I know it sucks losing UT and OU, but I think you add AZ schools, Colo and Utah and have a damn nice conference. Lots of different teams winning the title, with no dominant team. It won't be SEC/B1G but you'll be better than the ACC, and the PAC will be dead. Play an exciting brand of football. I've always been a B12 fan ... and whatever else you have been called. You guys moving from the G5 will have a shot each year when the do AQs, and I think you guys are a rising team with a really good coach!

Yes -- the current destabilization of cfb is due to the Big 8 and SWC. And NOWHERE are you going to see me say in the history of CFB realignment, it all started with Tx/OU going to the SEC, as you continue to talk about shit that happened 25-30 years ago..........why...........because we are talking about RIGHT NOW. We get it -- Nebraska fans love talking about 25-30 years ago, back when Nebraska had a relevant football program -- it isn't the 90's anymore. The only reason the B1G made the move to expand NOW is.....................the fact the SEC added Tx/OU. It isn't rocket science.

Now that we cleared this up -- you can go back to talking about how Nebraska is a coach away from being elite, while having zero chance to recruit like the elite in the CURRENT LANDSCAPE OF CFB (i.e. not the 1990's).

I literally stated why Warren made the comment. The B1G is obviously interested in adding another team from the PAC -- who it is......I have no idea. Could be Stanford, could be Oregon, I don't know? They can't make a move until they see if they can pair the team with ND to join the B1G.

It isn't like he is simply making the statement to stir up controversy or to try and blow up the conference, even though it will likely happen at some point, as I think it will end up being 2 super conferences when it is all said and done. I think the only thing holding back it from happening now is the GOR in the ACC.

Congrats. You have a better commissioner than Kevin freaking Warren. Dude is an idiot and everyone in the B1G knows it

The Big 12 didn't lose Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, and Texas A&M "25 - 30 years ago", you flaming idiot.

I'm confused as to who isn't raising up by moving to the B1G? USC? The Big 12 teams were already getting $30 million a year less than B1G teams WITH USC and UCLA. Exactly how are they going to sell the PAC 12 television rights when you remove the 2nd largest television market in the US?

Derrrr

WhoPhoneDis doesn't even know which conference USC and UCLA are in.

It is quite humorous to hear you ask if someone is 15, while making posts like this one. I'm not sure what is more embarrassing -- your attempt at trolling or Nebraska's record since joining the B1G.

By your logic nothing matters but football and eyeballs. Yet we both agree UNC is the number one target of the SEC.

UNC isn’t going to make the playoff.
UNC football isn’t going to get eyeballs or ratings.

That doesn‘t reconcile with your logic.

As for the CFP going away that isn‘t just me saying that. We are going to two super conferences who are going to have huge resource advantages over the everyone else, which is going to create a large competitive advantage. It won’t take long for the B1G and SEC to realize they can create their own mini playoffs (which they will own all the revenue to) to decide a conference champ and then play a national championship game against each other which the split the revenue. Why subsidize the other conferences by splitting the revenue of an unnecessary expanded playoff?

I don’t like it but that’s where we are headed.
This is very worrisome

Finally moved to the Blame Game level.

Who cares who is to blame? There is football to be played.

They aren't going to have 3 teams from the state of Florida.
Why not? Hell you got two teams in Mississippi (population 2.982 million), Alabama (population 4.89 million) and Tennessee (population 6.772 million). Florida has 21.22 million people and only one team. Florida is more populous than all three of those states combined!

The destabilization of CFB only started when the SEC swiped the flagship programs of the Big 12, Texas and OU.
Im Not No Way GIF

Not even close. About 12 years late. Destabilization started in 2010. Swiping started with the PAC, then the B1G and then the SEC. The SEC was the last to swipe....and that wasn't even with OU and Texas.
2010 Colorado joins the PAC
2011 Nebraska joins B1G
2011 Longhorn Network launched
2012 Texas A&M and Missouri join the SEC
