Back to work Monday

If we can get January, February, and first half of March over quickly, it will be nice.
I think it'll probably take about as long as October, November, and the first half of December did.

I fought with myself my whole 2 weeks off to not even think about work. Don't sign in and check on anything, if anybody really needs you, they'll text/call. Turn off Teams notifications and just enjoy 2 weeks with no work.

Then I was pleasantly surprised to wake up this morning to all my meetings cancelled because my client is still off today. Time to head to Ace and get some pellets to smoke some short ribs tomorrow.

what's the porn version?

Cold as fuck.

I think today was the first full day here with a high in the 30's. So I can't complain.

It was nice using my kid's new basketball hoop over the entire break. I guess it's finally time for winter to begin.

We were in the -20's with wind chills in the -50's for more than half of the holiday break. Less than ideal. Squeaky snow weather. Still got some sledding and skating in though.

Pretty cold day here. Still no snow though. I thought it was supposed to snow a lot in New England. This ain’t so bad.

Showed up to an inspection. It's been in the 20s over night. House has no gas, and it's 42 inside. Love it.

Better go find the nearest wood to knock on after saying that shit

30 here. No snow. Possible for Thursday. Got the rest of the leaves out of the pool that finally fell. Went no cover this year through the fall because last year the leaf rain mix turned into a hot mess. It's easier clean up this way

Squeaky snow...

I almost miss that

welp another damn cypress tree fell on my property. They are the worst.

been out there with the neighbors sawing it up and hauling the branches. Fucker was at least 30 ft tall...3rd one to fall in the last 2 yrs. Shallow roots and sandy soil doesn't mix.

still have 3 more in the line...but I am thinking I might need to proactively take them down and replace them

Canceled schools here because of "strong gusts". Its like 20 mph winds.

Back in my day...
Don't even get me started. Doesn't impact me one bit, but all the schools around here were cancelled due to the forecast of an inch of snow.

Couldn't even slip on my deck with what "stuck" here.

I’m sure you guys saw the AB situation in the Bucs game. I just heard this about it…

If that’s true that’s ridiculous. You don’t “cut” a player in the middle of the game. What did they expect AB to do? Simply walk off the field with his pads on? If he didn’t practice all week and you feel he wasn’t being truthful you don’t dress him for the game.

I'm not sure how this all transpired, because you'd expect that if he did hurt his ankle again (him de-padding and exiting stage left happened after halftime), he would have had a conversation with the coaching/medical staff during halftime about his availability.

The whole thing is bizarre AF, which seems to be par for the course for Tony.

As I understood it, even from dbl's video, they cut him after the game. The video speculates that he was injured before the game and they made him play.

Frankly, I'm giving benefit of the doubt to the Bucs.
