Back to work Monday

As I understood it, even from dbl's video, they cut him after the game. The video speculates that he was injured before the game and they made him play.

Frankly, I'm giving benefit of the doubt to the Bucs.
He did play in the first half. It seems like he is trying to say he hurt himself during the game, and should not have been an option to play in the second half. Certainly believable, but if that's the case, he needed to raise that with the medical staff and coaches at halftime, and not right as they try to sub him into the game.

I mean, he wasn't doing NFL sprints and cuts on his way to the locker room, but he wasn't limping, either.

The reported in the video said AB was injured last Friday.

Did you watch the video?

Yes. I am aware that he didn't practice much, and hurt his ankle again.

He also played in the first half of the game, and caught a few passes. If he was too hurt to play in the second half, it's on him to tell the coaches and medical staff during halftime.

I'm agreeing with you here. I think that, if Brown really was too hurt to go in, he should have taken time at the half to ensure that they ruled him out.

The video says they told him to “get out of here” in the middle of the game. IF that’s true, it explains his reaction and IMO puts the Bucs in a bad light.
Why? I don’t think it’s professional to tell a player to leave the sidelines for a non-disciplinary issue. If the player won’t go into the game then you ignore him and cut him immediately after the game. That’s my opinion.

I don't know, if the guy is there on the sideline, and he's openly defying the coaches, I'm fine with them sending him to the showers. If he was too hurt to go back in, he needed to raise that with the medical staff at halftime. Him going out and then saying "Nah" isn't the way to handle it.

I'm saying as of now, I think the video is full of shit.

without question Brown is a headcase that didn’t handle yet another situation well. I’m just saying the Bucs may have stooped to his level by cutting him in the middle of the game (if that’s true).

Don't even get me started. Doesn't impact me one bit, but all the schools around here were cancelled due to the forecast of an inch of snow.

Couldn't even slip on my deck with what "stuck" here.

you seem angry today. Is it bc i posted david Ortiz may make the HOF on the first ballot?
I didn't know you'd said that, but it wouldn't make me angry.

I doubt they told him they were cutting him on the sideline. He might have misconstrued what Arians told him, flipped his shit, and got himself cut with his antics afterwards.

Brown has done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt, IMO.

Antonio has mental issues. His agent should convince him to seek counseling.

i think there’s a lot more to the story that nobody is talking about. I think the Bucs were pissed off (rightfully so) about the vax card thing and let AB know it. I think ABs response to that was not practicing all week which I’m sure pissed the Bucs off even more. I think it all culminated with the incident on Sunday on the field.

My point is the Bucs have to be above that. My point is the Bucs shouldn’t have dressed him if they felt he couldn’t be counted on.

I made the following comment to my buddies back in Boston on a group text:

It’s funny watching Brady coddle the likes of AB. Remember earlier in the season when Gilmore refused to play unless the pats paid him and BB traded him? Yeah, neither do I

The point is everyone has there own agenda. Brady is coddling AB bc he’s a short timer who just wants another SB. The head coach is thinking about the entire organization and it’s future. The minute Arians said “if AB screws up one more time and he’s gone” and then doesn’t follow thru in that … this was inevitable. IMO it’s wrong to just blame AB.

Look who is into conspiracy theories all of a sudden.

how’s that a conspiracy theory?

I don’t think a lot of moving parts were in motion that culminated in AB storming off. He has way too many confrontations in way too many places to assume it had anything to do with anybody but himself. No such history w Brady/Arians/Bucs.
