We typically get a surge in growth early Sept around these parts. Cool nights with lots of sunshine during the day. Takes a hard frost before I can stop mowing

10 pizzas for 28 people is roughy 3 pieces per person. Unless you have any major fatties in your league, you should be good.
 
Question for the masses:
I have my eye on a walk behind mower. I had a Troy-Bilt version for almost 15 years. Now Dewalt has a similar version. It keeps getting knocked down in price which has me intrigued. Anyone have any experience with Dewalt's outdoor power equipment?

Yeah. Last summer cut I lower the deck an inch and cut it low and slow. The I raise it up an inch each time I mow during the fall. Hopefully the temps go down and the grass will go dormant by mid-October

Same here

I am mowing half of the lot while construction is going on so it hasn't been treated. Crabgrass is thick as hell

If it wasn't for crabgrass and clover, I'm not sure what my back yard would grow. Gonna try and get some grass seed down this fall.
