It's actually informative in that I'd have thought OU would have more players than one.

If OU can only get their punter on the all big xii team, they have gaping issues with their team and Nebraska should have the talent to win it.

To be fair they had a fuck ton of roster turnover and it's hard to give a bunch of transfers pre season spots just because of the helmet sticker so they might be alright this year.

That being said they are in a tough spot offensively. I'm sure Gabriel will be solid but they lost two guys who were considered first round draft picks and replace them with a dude that was a good G5 player. Their previous HC was great at making that work but the current HC is a defensive guy and his OC did good work at Ole Miss but he's running into a gauntlet of DC's who have spent the last 3 years turning the Big 12 into a defensive league. Plus their WR core took a real hit this off-season. I think Mims is all world as a deep threat but after that it's Drake Stoops in the slot I guess. That kid is going to die this year.

Defensively having Venables helps as he will establish that mentality but they haven't done the best job at developing talent there and that will be tough. I'm sure with Venebals they will be alright in a year or two but for us it took Knowles 3 years to take our defense from ok to elite. Kids have to buy in and maybe Venables cuts that time by a year but it won't be instant.

Iowa State players dominated the preseason list last year. How did their season go?
