It's wintery af here, and getting up on a ladder with 3 feet of snow in the yard and it being -15, isn't appealing.

I'm a perfectionist no way to have exactly perpendicular and in a row lights with some extension pole thinger(big bulb individually clipped)

Works fine for me?:noidea: I just do it across the front of the house which includes 3 peaks. Not sure what you mean by "rows".

So I do my whole roof bit each bulb is perfectly in a row and standing at attention, I can't imagine that being possible without hands on

That would probably work for the window and the gutters, but I also take my lights up the sides of the roof and across along the peak.
