Be Honest About Your Team Here (College Edition)

Your first thought in a thread about "your team" is Texas A&M. Your obsession is duly noted. Players have been paid for decades. Many schools went "all in" on NIL. The rules are the same for all schools, if yours is too poor to play then take it up with the shitty alum.
If your school is too poor to go to future opponents games to scout, take it up with the shitty alum. 🤣

It's sad that you believe that.
Wait a minute -- you actually think all those kids signed with A&M because of the proud football tradition?!? That is sad.

Since the turn of the century -- A&M has exact ONE year with 10 or more wins. ONE. They have 16 years with 5 or more losses. You think THAT is the school who is going to set the CFB recruiting record?

2024.......................... meh

If I were an NFL team, the only college coaches I would consider are those that consistently outscheme and beat more talented teams

On the flip side, most good NFL head coaches aren’t gonna be very good college coaches. They’re not gonna like the recruiting grind required to be at the top in college
100% correct both ways. Which is why college coaches that have been successful don't do as well in the pros when they don't have a talent advantage. Truth be told, I'll be college coaches at places other than the biggies really don't like recruiting either...especially when they are at a disadvantage to start with.

I think UW is gassed. I think they were gassed 4 weeks ago. Somehow they keep wining, Kalen is a hell of a coach and is squeezing everything he can out of this squad.

Oregon is either gonna roll us by 30 or we win another gut wrencher. Should be pretty obvious by half time.

We are all Washington fans so we can see the OD meltdown

Yea sadly UW looks like a team that has crashed into a wall and is struggling to fully bounce back. I hope they win but with how they've been playing and how Oregon has been playing it isn't looking promising going in.

Well, 8-4, bout what I expected but man, injuries were a big factor. This team probably had another win in it minus the injuries :noidea:

I’m not sure WHAT to expect next year, the young QB has looked solid so could be fun OR… could be a true rebuild kind of year on defense (which needs some juice imo) and OLine with 6-7 wins being the ceiling.

We are pretty regularly top 10. NIL definitely played a part, but literally every school in the NCAA can do the exact same. If they aren't, then stop being poor.

It is that time of the year. Even though there were a lot of good close games last weekend, I thought several teams were spent. Even some that won looked like they were running in mud.

We are bad call in 2019, a missed fg last year, and a drive away this year from the narrative around the Buckeyes being completely different.

I can't tell you why, but McCord makes a big leap next year and Day beats Michigan at home. All will be well in Columbus once again.

I don't know -- if you can't be a really good QB when you have arguably the best WR to come out of college in some time and a #2 WR who will also be a 1st round NFL draft pick. Not sure you will see a jump when those guys leave.

That being said -- To beat Michigan next year -- you likely won't need him to make a leap, as UM will have almost an entirely new offense and will lose the majority of their defense too, as well as their kicker and I believe punter. They are projected to have 19 guys drafted if all guys leave who can leave.

McCord isn't making any leaps, I think at this point he is what he is. Problem is Day is definitely not the type who is just gonna move on from someone he tabbed as his guy at QB.

Every close game has an element of luck. If someone doesn't understand that, they don't understand the game.

Yep and Ohio State is on a nice run of bad luck in those games recently. I guess it was eventually going to come around to that after some of the good fortune we experienced under Tressel and Meyer.

If a top of the line QB hits the portal -- There isn't a place in college football better for them to go than OSU. The skill position talent is a QB's dream.

So I think if you see a big time guy enter the portal, you guys wouldn't hesitate to scoop them up, especially if they don't see Brown as an option.
