GAME Bedlam 2021: #10 OU (10-1) @ #7 OKST (10-1) | 6:30CT | ABC

The good 'ol "conference" argument ... again? :sigh: How convenient.

Okie Lite's only loss is to a mediocre ISU team. Okie St sure wasn't lighting any fires early in the season, too.

Both ND/OSU will have one loss, IF the Pokes beat Baylor next week. I'm sure the committee will not take that ISU loss very lightly when they'll have to decide.

You guys didn't play anyone. The argument against Cincy is they didn't play anyone but you guys caught one solid team at their peak and lost. At home

We close with back to back top 10 matchups and your signature win down the stretch is against a 6-6 Virginia team missing the guy that got them 6 wins. We aren’t the same.

That being said I fully expect you to get in ahead of us. Because you were really good 50 years ago when we sucked. College football is stupid that way.

That bolded statement is truly funny, bro.

Brian Kelly has made ND very relevant, again (post-1950s/50 yrs ago) as evidenced by the Irish's record, Natl Championship game appearance and CFP appearances since his arrival in 2010. Stop with the worthless "ND was good in the 1950s" argument.

And, in all honestly, I kinda got on the Pokes' bandwagon a couple of weeks ago, flat out stating I believed they were in the driver's seat to win the Big XII. Looks like I may be right on that one.

All of this talk doesn't mean a thing if Osu doesn't beat Baylor in their back yard next weekend.

Isn't this game bein played at Jerry's World?

Alot depends on Cincy getting a win against UH, next week, too.

That isn't a given by any means - UH is a sneaky good team and Cincy better not be 'overlooking' them.

Clinching the spot a week early helped with the crowd. We sold out our ticket allotment early and the conference gave us more. Rape fans are just now getting to buy theirs.

Honestly I'm less worried about that game than I was about last night. When we beat rape the first time the game wasn't as close as the score and Bohannon may be out. We'll send them to the Alamo Bowl

They lost to Texas Tech.

They lost to Texas Tech.
Yeah ... first game of season.

ISU (who handed the Pokes their only loss) lost to TTU, also.

Deal is, UH is still 11-1 having run the table since TTU loss. I don't believe it's a gimme that Cincy just auto-wins this game, but who knows at this point?

UH had Tech in Houston. Tech beat ISU on a record 62 yard walk off field goal in Lubbock where weird shit happens on a Saturday night.

I ain't sayin' Houston is bad by any means. In fact, they are a pretty good G5 team. And Tech is better than perceived IMO. So if Cincy is going to get a lot of credit for a Houston win, then wins over Tech should be weighted more heavily as well....and those are usually are poo-bahed instead of given credit.

And Cincy will be a 13-0 undefeated team with a 'cherished' CCG victory under their belt, if they beat UH.

Just don't see how the committee could leave them out, if that all happens. All I'm saying is they better not be overlooking UH.

Where is that CCG being played, btw?

Okie State and LSU both got screwed that year by Alabama. Alabama probably shouldn't have gone.
Of course they shouldn't have. They shouldn't have gone in 2017 either.

Really, I wouldn't fault LSU for claiming the 2011 natty, they beat Bama in Tuscaloosa and had a far better resume than Bama.

In Cincy I think. IIRC, G5s all have their CCGs at home sites.

That’d be a shame if true because that goes against everything that the playoff is supposed to be. Four best teams. Okie Lite ain’t one of them.
"Best" is subjective as shit. Deserving is less so.

If Bama beats UGA, this is the order in which the following teams will be considered barring losses in ccgs.

Okie St > Cincy > Note Dame.

Basically, Note Dame needs a lot of help in order to get in.
