Best and worst drivers in the country.

I believe the Wisconsin stats are skewed due to the number of tix given to Illinois drivers once they cross the state line.

People in the Midwest cannot even figure out how to merge onto the highway. It wouldn't be a day ending in Y if I didn't see someone riding onto the fucking shoulder because they couldn't mentally adapt to getting into the fucking merge lane in the half mile before it ends.
We get plenty of that around here as well. Folks drive down a long on-ramp doing 30 mph, never once turning their head to have a look at the traffic on the highway and probably wonder why it's such a bitch to merge with traffic going 60 or 70 mph.

How about you get up to speed on the ramp and get a look at the traffic so you can pick an opening and time your merge? WTF is so difficult about that?

That's exactly what I was thinking.

If you're cruising along on any interstate in Wisconsin and see someone in the rear view mirror zig-zagging through traffic with no signals and blasts past you going at least 20 mph over the speed limit, there's a 90% chance that car has Illinois plates. And there's a 50% chance they're driving a BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Audi.

And there's also 70% chance that if you get caught in a long traffic jam along any highway in Wisconsin, the reason for it is someone lost control of their vehicle while towing a camper. There's a 70% chance that camper and vehicle has Illinois plates.

I lived in NM for a couple of years and we used to do 90-100 on the roads to El Paso or Albuquerque on a regular basis. Speed limit was probably only 70 mph back then, but the cops didn't seem to care.

That's a Minnesota thing.

Except instead of a nice luxury vehicle, it's a luxury car from the Early 90s with rust and illegally tinted windows.
