so is A Bronx Tale
and Donnie Brasco for that matter.
Very underrated movie. I think its probably the most realistic and I enjoy hearing Joe Pistone talk about it.
Both movies are amazing and could easily be on the list. Probably have both in my top 5. Donnie Brasco fits the mold of what I like most about mafia movies....based on real. The Bronx Tale is just amazing top to bottom.
Oh damn. It’s been a long time. This one calls for a rewatch. Forgot how funny it is. That fucker just shooting the pop gun is classic.

Bugsy Malone. I loved that movie as a kid.
First instance I’ve ever seen or recall of it. Totally get when it’s something from childhood

Aside from the obvious ones, I always liked Deep Cover. The director Bill duke was the bald black buddy of Jesse Ventura in Predator.

My favorite mob movie is from the opposite side's view. The Untouchables
Love that movie. Weird thing about mob movies and docs....I admittedly enjoy following the stories of guys who had the balls to go do what they do. But, most clearly didn’t have the brains or the law would not have caught up and drove them so underground.
So....I admit the hypocrite that I am. I enjoy their exploits, and also enjoy when they are taken down. Weird thing, but I own it.
And the Untouchables does a great job showing how the good guys won. And, let’s face it, Sean Connery is beyond amazing in this role.
