Best size for playoff?

Who's the subtard voting for 4 when we just watched by ranking, 5 vs 6?

It's either 8 or 16. I favor 16.

No byes.
No auto-seeds for conference champs.

The home game atmosphere was awesome. First 2 rounds should be home games for the higher seed.

End sooner.

Play the championship game at the Rose Bowl every year.

I think 16 is the absolute limit.

Frankly, i think 12 is fine, they just need to change up the seeding protocol.

12 is fine. get rid of auto bye, move the games up earlier to be held before NFL playoffs.

It will go to 16 soonish but sadly we are eventually gonna end up at 24 like the FCS.
Once the current contract is up after this year it likely does go to 16. going to 24 would need pretty major changes to schedules.

Don't really care, but they need to have the fucking championship game on a Saturday. Fuck this Monday nonsense.
Monday after divisional NFL playoffs, at that.

I don't think 24 is happening anytime relatively right away soon but I wouldn't be shocked if it does in the next 10-15 years. I think they'll drop their love for CCGs for a bigger playoff and do away with CCGs at that point.

16. Everybody gets the same amount of rest, no haggling over undeserved byes.

And I think they need to play out contract P5 vs P5 OOC games. I'm ok with keeping 1 creampuff OOC for warming up, but could get rid of week after week of what usually are blowout sleepers in return for conference games then more playoff games among good teams. The new OOC is at the end of the season.

Sounds good, but the math on it is horrible. Suppose you want to finish before the NFL playoffs, which SHOULD be the goal. So then you need to have your natty on or about Jan 6/7, which allows semi's to be on NYDay. That means you need to be having round 1 of playoffs the second week of December (first if you want to avoid Xmas). Now you are talking about CCG's over THX.

You have to reduce regular season games or start even earlier in the year.

8-10 teams are probably enough quality wise, but you move it to 16 so everyone plays an equal number of games. Boise and ASU getting a bye didn't make sense to me.

Before, I was in favor of 8, but I think these playoffs worked out rather well. Even though the ONE TEAM I hate won it. The 4 highest ranked champions get a bye week is good.

It will be changed because a lot of people will bitch, people always bitch regardless.

But, they don't get the same amount of rest. Some teams will have played in a CCG while others stayed at home. That was the reason for the byes. Now, if you can eliminate the conference championship games, what you say makes more sense. You can't eliminate the CCGs - $$$.

You left off the only other option available during this current contract - 14.

and add a game for ND!
